Cesar Mendoza serves as Technical Manager Service & Sales at Sustainable Generation®, where he brings more than 15 years of experience in the waste and recycling industry, along with a passion for problem-solving in complex, hands-on environments. His interest in composting began when he discovered the dynamics of composting. Unlike other waste streams, composting demands continuous adaptation, attention to detail, and innovation. This ever-evolving challenge is what first drew Cesar to the field and continues to inspire his work today.

Cesar's career has spanned nearly every aspect of the industry, from supervising material recovery facilities (MRFs) and transfer stations to optimizing compost operations and managing C&D (construction and demolition) lines. Cesar has a wealth of experience in equipment operation, maintenance, and process efficiency. He is certified to operate a wide range of machinery including loaders, dozers, roll-off trucks, and balers. Whether calibrating compost recipes or training a new crew, he brings a deep respect for the people behind the process and a strong belief in mentorship: “If you teach and share your knowledge, it will be paid back a hundred times over.”

At SG, Cesar plays a critical role in commissioning new composting facilities, supporting customer pilot programs, and guiding operational teams through the implementation of best-in-class practices. He takes pride in developing scalable systems that not only perform effectively from the start but continue to improve and evolve.

Outside of work, Cesar enjoys adult league hockey and exploring wine culture—interests that help him recharge and bring fresh perspective to every project.
