Brad Karst
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Brad Karst serves as Business Development Manager at Sustainable Generation®, bringing over 20 years of experience in sales and leadership within the organics and municipal solid waste (MSW) sectors. His interest in composting is rooted in its measurable environmental benefits, particularly its ability to transform organic waste into a valuable soil resource rather than allowing it to generate methane in landfills. This belief in composting as a practical climate solution has fueled Brad’s commitment to helping public and private sector clients adopt smarter, more sustainable waste diversion strategies.
Brad’s professional journey includes key roles at Organix Solutions and Machinex Technologies, where he earned a reputation for guiding municipalities, haulers, and facilities through successful organics recovery programs. He brings a deep understanding of food waste, green waste, and biosolids diversion, and at SG, he focuses on aligning clients with composting systems that deliver reliable performance. Brad also attended a PGA-accredited program in West Palm Beach, Florida, where he honed the discipline, customer service mindset, and performance-driven approach that continue to inform his work in business development. Over the years, he has developed strong leadership, collaboration, and time management skills, and he takes particular pride in having helped grow a business fivefold in seven years by fostering a high-performing, values-driven team.
At Sustainable Generation®, Brad approaches every opportunity with integrity, loyalty, and a strong sense of purpose. He’s driven by the impact of his work, helping communities and companies reduce emissions, close the loop on organics, and embrace circular economy practices.
Outside of work, Brad is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys spending time at the lake with family and friends. Whether he's fishing, boating, hunting, golfing, snowmobiling, or coaching hockey, Brad brings the same team spirit and focused energy that define his professional contributions to the composting industry.
