A compost educator since 2008, Corinne has managed composting projects throughout the U.S. and in Haiti, Puerto Rico, Uganda, Egypt, and Sierra Leone. She spent two years in Haiti working on ecological sanitation projects serving the people of Port-au-Prince and Leogane left homeless and without sanitation by the 2010 earthquake. In 2013, she co-founded Terra Nova Compost in Atlanta, Georgia and quickly built a reputation as “Atlanta’s Compost Queen.” Corinne was previously employed by the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s (DEQ) Division of Waste Management where she played a key role in the Compost Rules Revision Working Group and was Chair of the DEQ’s Sustainability Team’s Outreach Committee. She is on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Composting Council and is a guest instructor for the US Composting Council’s Compost Operator Training Course. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Geography from Ohio University. She is also trained in permaculture, regenerative agriculture, and ecological sanitation. Corinne joined the SG team in 2017 and is responsible for project management and business development in the Northeast.
