Scott Woods – Founder and CEO

Former CEO of The Peninsula Compost Group and past Remote Services Vice President at Sun Microsystems, Scott has +25 years experience in applying technology to solve business problems and create competitive advantages in the Telecom, Information Technology, Government Services and Waste Conversion industries. Scott holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Montana State University and an MBA from the University of Denver. Scott was also a Leading Clean Energy Ventures Fellow at Boston University and a Technology Intern Program at Bellcore (formerly Bell Labs) Fellow.

Ben Fredregill
Principal and Chief Operating Officer

Former CFO for a dry foods and organic spice manufacturer / wholesaler. +25 years experience developing and executing strategies in the Consulting, Food Wholesaling and Information Technology industries. Ben was a colleague of Scott’s at Sun Microsystems. He is a certified Six Sigma Blackbelt, with a B.A. in Business Economics from Colorado College and an MBA from the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business. Ben is also a Certified Compost Operator.

E. Andrew DiSabatino, Jr.
Principal in SG and CEO of EDiS Company

Leader of a +105 year old construction management company with experience in Engineer-Procure-Construct contracts for composting projects. EDiS has built over $1.7B of construction projects in its history.

Dr. Joseph Bianco
Chief Technology Officer

Industry leading Information Technologist specializing in service automation, data management and remote services applications. Author of multiple white papers, two published books and owner of U.S. Patent for Methods and Apparatus accessing document content. B.S. Electrical Engineering from City University of NY, M.S. Information Systems from Pace University NY and Ph.D., Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University, FL.

Nancy Freebery
Marketing Director

Nancy directs our strategic marketing and internal and external communications initiatives. She has over 30 years of experience assisting a diverse range of businesses with all aspects of the marketing and communication functions. Among Nancy’s specialized areas of expertise are construction, real estate development and organics recycling.

Brett Hoyt
Vice President North American Sales

For 25 years, Brett has developed, managed, and owned companies with national sales operations. He has specialized in driving channel sales and building high-performing national sales teams and distributor networks. His business development and customer service expertise complements Sustainable Generation’s depth of industry experience. Brett is also a Certified Compost Operator.

Katja Christof
Global Application Engineer, W.L. Gore & Associates

Katja has over 12 years experience in organic waste treatment applications, of which 2 years were dedicated solely to Research & Development at Gore for developing the laminates used in the GORE® Cover technology. Katja is responsible for providing compost operator training, project management, process analysis of input materials, R & D development and on-going technical support. Katja is also responsible for field-testing for pilot studies and full-scale facility operations. Graduated in Civil Engineering (Dipl.Ing.) of Textile Chemistry at the University of Applied Sciences, Germany, 2000

Brian Fuchs
Business Development for North America, W.L. Gore & Associates

Brian has been serving the environmental field for over 20 years with experience in implementing various chemical and mechanical technologies into municipal drinking water, wastewater and solid waste treatment applications. Brian’s responsibilities include key account management, field sales, industry event planning, project management, contracting and regulatory affairs. Brian received a B. S. Architectural Technology, New York Institute of Technology, 1991 and an MBA, University of Delaware, 2006.

Thomas Schlien
Founder of UTV AG

Thomas has over 20 years experience working on a compost site as the owner and site manager. Thomas been working with GORE® Cover technology providing consultation for design, pre-construction, installation/start-up, operator training of the GORE® Cover System and has directly been involved with the commissioning of more than 50 GORE® Cover System projects all over the world. Graduated in BBA for Agriculture and Environmental technologies, Germany, 1990.

Stefan Wilkens
Project Engineer of

Stefan is responsible for providing pre-design detail including CAD drawings and overseeing specification detail for components, installation supervision and after market support for repair and maintenance. Stefan has 10 years compost operating experience and has been directly involved with over 20 installations worldwide.

Uwe Schlick
Project Engineer of

Uwe is responsible for providing compost operator training, construction and installation supervision. Uwe has over 10 years compost operating experience and has been directly involved with over 30 installations worldwide.
